About the Initiative

Changing the Reality for Youth Who Age Out of Foster Care

"Each year, over 25,000 young adults age out of the foster care system in the United States, and up to 40% experience homelessness shortly after."

The B'resheet Transition Housing Initiative is dedicated to changing that reality by providing safe, stable housing and a clear pathway to independence for youth at risk. Through this program, B'resheet offers more than shelter — we create a structured, supportive environment that addresses both immediate needs and long-term success.

Our approach is designed to move individuals from crisis to stability, equipping them with the tools, mentorship, and resources needed to rebuild their lives and thrive long-term. By addressing both immediate needs and sustainable success, this initiative works to break cycles of instability and create lasting, generational impact.

Residents are placed in furnished, stable housing — a clean, dignified space that immediately removes the immediate threat of homelessness and provides a foundation for growth.

Step 03

Structured Support Program

Each resident receives a personalized support plan encompassing counseling, life skills workshops, financial literacy, employment readiness, and educational pathway planning.

Step 04

Employment & Education Launch

With stable footing established, residents pursue career opportunities, higher education, or vocational training — supported by mentors and employer partnerships.

Step 05

Transition to Permanent Housing

Graduates of the program move into permanent, independent housing — equipped with the skills, savings, employment, and confidence to sustain their lives long-term.
